The latest worldwide movement to globalize the pharmaceutical industries, allowing for greater freedom in establishing advanced facilities, as well as Egypt,s persistence in adopting the free market policies, has opened a whole new world of opportunities in this field .
The University has taken the lead in contributing to the creation of a well-rounded global pharmacist prepared with the necessary knowledge and skills for this urgently needed and timely role.
In addition to the traditional courses needed to fulfill graduation requirements, several 'emphasis courses' have become a part of these requirements.
Examples of these emphasis courses are Drug Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Plant Management, Hospital Pharmacy and Medicinal Plants Processing.
The procurement of advanced machinery will actually allow the students to have a unique practical experience of what drug manufacturing is all about and gain valuable know–how during their years of study.
The lab facilities are again ample and diversified, supervised by a knowledgeable group of instructors holding doctoral degrees in their areas of specialization.
